We have also been filming at Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve recently. This is quite an unusual wedding venue as it is a big old stately home set in a nature reserve which house animals such as lions and silverback gorillas! It was very surreal as we got there quite early in the morning to film exterior shots of the mansion house and the lions, it seems, were getting the day off to a roaring start! The noise was so strange, I felt like I was on the set of Jurassic Park. Such an exciting place. And how amazing that you can have your wedding there then take your guests on safari.
Aside from the animals, the place is a fantastic place to get married. You can have your ceremony outside in a mini piazza where peacocks roam, underneath a juliet balcony and in front of a lily pond, or you can get married in the stunning Moroccan courtyard which really has to be seen to fully appreciate its beauty.
We loved filming there and look forward to filming weddings there. While we filmed that day, a lovely couple renewed their vows in the piazza and allowed us to film them. It looked amazing and we can't wait to complete the promo and launch it! So many people were involved but special thanks must go to 2ofHarps who 'orchestrated' the whole day *ahem*
