Cooling Castle Wedding

It's been ages since I've blogged! Summer has been busy busy busy for Cut The Cake Films, it's only now we can sit back and reflect on all we've done over the last few months. After 'May Madness', we were back with another Kent wedding at the lovely Cooling Castle for Sam and Curtis's Big Day.

We love Cooling Castle, not only because it's a great venue, but also because it's pretty local for us living in Whitstable. At the end of a long day wedding filming, it's a nice thought that our journey time is less than an hour. Anyway, back to the wedding...

And what a beautiful day it was! The Dream Team were back together in the form of us - the videographers, of course, and Lee and Jon from Blushing Bride Photography and so Lee and I were stationed at the Moat House with Sam, while Jon and Bill were with Curtis and the boys. It was a relaxed morning as Sam, her maid of honour, two bridesmaids and two flower girls got ready.

The torrential downpour at precisely 2pm (ceremony time) did NOT dampen anyone's spirits and the amazing staff, registrars and in fact, just about everyone, helped out by rushing in flowers, confetti, arranging new chairs indoors, petals, just everything you could think of was transported from outside to it in the space of about 10 minutes. It was a remarkable display of teamwork! The thing that struck Bill and I about Sam and Curtis was they just looked SO happy. The rain didn't matter, nerves didn't matter, they are just so in love and were so thrilled to be getting hitched! It was beautiful to film and I think really comes across in their wedding video.

The rain cleared up - typically - after the ceremony so we managed to film some lovely 'guest action' outside thankfully. And they had a brilliant magician who kept everyone amazed during the wedding breakfast. Speeches done, it was time for a photo shoot in front of the iconic building and signpost!

Sam and Curtis are such a lovely couple and their two beautiful children, Holly and Owen, complete their lovely family. We thoroughly enjoyed being a part of their wedding day and we hope their wedding film brings them lots of very happy memories in the years to come. Check out their film trailer here.
