Wedding Colour Schemes
Over the last few years we have seen some beautiful colour schemes at the many weddings we have filmed. I was just wondering about the colour schemes for next year and had a little trawl through Google and, wow, there are some gorgeous colour combinations. My particular favourite is emerald green and gold...
Click on the image above, and you will be taken to the Colors Wedding website where they have a great deal more colour schemes if you are wondering what to go for. Lots of great ideas there.
I am very much into colour since having my colours analysed many years ago. I previously hadn't gone in for that sort of thing but I was bowled over when I saw how certain colours transformed my skin tone, hair colour, and even brightened my eyes. I realised that, as much as I loved a colour, if it didn't look good on me it just didn't look good on me. I learned that I am a Sultry Winter (love the name) and was presented with a little wallet fiiled with swatches of the colours I looked good in and the colours I looked great in. It makes shopping a much more efficient experience - which my husband is truly thankful for! If you're interested in learning more about the 'science' of colour analysis, check out House of Colour's website here.
But don't worry - you will most likely NOT be wearing your colour scheme, although your bridesmaids will! Just make sure the colours they wear suit their skin tone for an overall elegant, non clashing effect!
We had vibrant fuchsia, royal purple and royal blue at our spring wedding. I still love watching our wedding video, not least because the flowers are SO pretty. And my bouquet was amazing. And I had purple shoes!
If you are at the stage where you are deciding what colours to go for, choose the colours that you love - just make sure they are the right shade of that colour. Good luck!
