Autumn Wedding

The dreaded Covid didn't stop us from capturing a couple of weddings this year. We had Kat and Tom booked in almost 3 years ago for June 2020 - who could have envisaged what lay ahead for this gorgeous couple! Their wedding was pushed back to November with a new guest list of only 30 people but they were resilient and made all the changes necessary to their big day. Then, on Tuesday 22nd September, more new restrictions were brought in and the number of guests allowed was brought down again - this time to only 15!

That did not, however, faze Kat or Tom. They contacted their wedding venue - the fabulous Nettlestead Place - and managed to bring their wedding forward to... Friday 25th September! Yes, that's right, in 3 days time!

Thankfully we were free but, to be honest, we would have moved heaven and earth to be available for Kat and Tom. It was such a rollercoaster of emotion we felt like we were really a part of the plans! They essentially re-planned the wedding in 3 days, everybody rose to the challenge and cleared calendars, got days off work, suits picked up, dresses dry cleaned and this wedding was ON!

It was a beautiful day. I can highly recommend Sharon, the wedding planner at Nettlestead Place. A joy to work with, so friendly, calm and accommodating. Having to wear masks didn't stop the smiles as Kat walked into the beautiful undercroft to meet her husband to be, ready and waiting. They chose a lovely celebrant called Katie from True Blue Ceremonies who performed a tailor-made ceremony for them, it was so personal and a pleasure to listen to.

Again the restrictions did not stop the fun after the ceremony. Things had to be a little bit different, of course, but Kat and Tom had hired space hoppers which provided some hilarious entertainment and certainly brought out the competitive side of some of the bridal party!

We also had the pleasure of working with the wedding photographer Florence Berry for the first time - it was so easy! We felt like we had known her for ages, it is so nice working with someone so creative and easy going.

Florence took Kat and Tom out for a little photoshoot as the sun was going down and Bill tagged along to get some footage - what a beautiful time to go out. The sun was dropping in the autumn sky and everything was golden. It topped off a beautiful day.

We loved creating Kat and Tom's Wedding film. They are so much in love, so happy, and it was so evident throughout the day. They also have close knit group of supportive friends who were there to ensure lots of fun and laughs were had on the day and I think that shines through in the film. Love watching it!
